Facilities include: a clay tennis court, six and nine wicket croquet courts,
bicycles, dock, rowboats, moorings and library.
"In Season" the popular
Boathouse on the shore serves a light lunch and evening cocktails. The newly
constructed hotel bar with its atrium skylight and detailed woodwork is an
ideal setting for pre dinner cocktails. A complimentary afternoon tea is
served "In Season" and during the months of July and August the hotel hosts
its popular weekly lecture and music recital series.
Breakfast and dinner
are served in the dining room to hotel and outside guests when the
hotel is open.
The first full week of August is dedicated to the annual Claremont Croquet
Classic. Players compete in a week-long nine wicket double elimination
tournament in both singles and doubles competition. The players and
spectators alike enjoy this annual event.
Near by are: golf courses, fresh water swimming, boat tours, kayak and boat
rentals, summer theater, the restaurants and shops of Southwest Harbor and
all the resources of Acadia National Park.
